Resellers: What do I
need to do to become a reseller?
Chose the level suitable for you from
the chart. The level you join in our reseller
program determines the instant profit you can make on your sales. Besides the instant
profit, you can also receive residual income along with detailed monthly statements. See
the corresponding residual amounts in the chart.
You need to indicate your desired start up level, and request a contract form us if
starting on the 3rd level or higher.
You need to send us the following information about yourself:
- Name
- Company name (if any)
- Address
- Phone number
- Fax number
We may turn down application requests for the following reasons:
- If the applicant has a bad reputation reflected on
records from the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, the Federal Trade
Commission or other consumer complaint- tracking agencies.
- If we have another active ForeverPage distributor near the applicants location.
(We do not intend to raise competition for our successfully working agents.)
Upon approval you can start immediately by referring customers or purchasing pagers from
us.
What do the levels exactly mean in the reseller table?
At the first level you do not
purchase pagers, you only refer customers. We complete the transaction and mail you the
commission check.
At the second level, you purchase the pagers from us and sell them on your own for more
income. You make profit on your sales only, residuals do not apply.
If starting (or when reaching) the third level, you need to sign an authorized
agent contract with us. Then you'll be eligible to receive monthly residuals.
When moving to higher levels (fourth, fifth, sixth), the purchase price of the pagers
decreases. At the same time your instant profits on your sales and your monthly
residuals increase.
Do I have to pay additional
fees for activation?
No, there is no additional cost. The
activation fee is included in the pager price,
(e.g., on the 4th level you buy the alphanumeric pager for $95.00).
Here is the break down: actual pager price: $74.00 plus $21.00 activation fee. You pay the
total of $95.00.
You should display the pager prices in your store the same way. If you want to sell the
alphanumerics for $159.00, the price tags should read the break down on the items.
(e.g.,$119.00 plus $40.00 activation fee).
Can I move to a higher level
later on?
There is nothing preventing you from
going up to the next level at any stage.
When going up the levels, you always have to sign a new contract, because your contract
contains the fixed residual value you're entitled to receive at each given level. The new
contract always takes effect the first day of the following month.
Can I activate my
customers existing pagers with ForeverPage?
You can purchase cap codes from us if
you want to reactivate your customers' existing pagers with ForeverPage. You will receive
the capcodes with the necessary crystals. The capcode-crystal prices are as follows:
level 3: $23.00
level 4: $21.00
level 5: $19.00
level 6: $17.00
You are also free to purchase different pager brands from other sources if you want to
expand your product line. (Many of our resellers do that.) Buy them without activation,
then program them with the capcodes + crystals obtained from us.
What is the capcode?
The capcode is a 9-15 digit code
number. It identifies the paging service provider and a particular receiver device. If you
want to activate a pager with a service provider, you need to configure the pager by
inserting an appropriate crystal chip and programming it using a capcode that points
to the particular provider.
Do I need any equipment for
reprogramming?
Yes. If you do not own reprogramming
equipment, you can have it done through other dealers. About 20% of pager resellers are in
possession the necessary equipment. Most of them offer reprogramming to other resellers
for $8-$15 per unit (3-4 minutes process).
How do I benefit from
reprogramming pagers?
Several people don't want to buy a new
pager, but keep their existing one and switch to a different provider with that.
If you do not own the necessary equipment, you only make a small profit on reprogramming
but you'll receive monthly residuals on each beep your customers receive.
Can I receive free advertising
materials?
We can provide you with the following
advertising materials for free:
- A web site to promote your business on the Internet.
- Customized (your company name, address, etc..) advertising brochures in *.ppt, Microsoft
PowerPoint file format. You can print them on inkjet or laser printers.
- ForeverPage banners for your store front and small flyers to place on your counter top
if participating in the 3rd level or up.
You can receive your ForeverPage web site within 7-10 business days. The site will
look like ours with minor changes. It will contain your company name, address, phone
number and e-mail address. Your company logo will be placed beside the ForeverPage logo on
the top of each page.
We can send you the code of your home page and you can upload it to your server, or we can
upload it for you to a free server. You're free to link your other sites to your
ForeverPage site by placing hyper links and/or linking banners on it.
You'll receive banners and flyers within approximately 2 weeks of signing your first
contract (3rd level or up only!).You can re-order additional free advertising materials at
any time. The toll free reseller support hot line number will be sent to you after signing
a contract.

How about warranty terms?
Our limited warranty covers material
and manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper
handling.
The warranty period for the Uniden alphanumeric pager is 90 days from the date the pager
is sold to a customer.
The warranty period for the Samsung numeric pager is 90 days from the date the pager is
sold to a customer.
The warranty period for the Philips numeric pager is 12 months from the date the pager is
sold to a customer.
There is a 6 months limit to the warranty extension once the pager has been purchased by
the reseller. After the 6 months the warranty starts to expire, even if it is still in the
reseller's inventory.
Most of our resellers offer extended warranty periods for a few dollars extra at their own
risk. If you chose to do this, you need to set your own warranty policy.
Here is our replacement routine:
If you order and receive a large quantity of pagers and find malfunctioning or defective
units among them, keep them separated. Send them back to us once a month or once every two
months.
We will add the free replacement units to your next order after receiving the defective
ones.
We do not reimburse you for shipping cost.
How does the alphanumeric
system work?
It works without live operator
assistance. There is no waiting on hold.
The automated system records and stores voice messages. The original voice is converted by
a voice recognition computer program to written form. If the voice message is
unrecognizable because it is left in a foreign language or with a strong accent, the
customer receives a message to check his/her voice mailbox. There is no charge to retrieve
original voice messages. The process: Dial your own toll free pager number, enter your pin
number, disregard the prompt: "..press 1 to accept the charges" and press
"0" instead. The original messages are played back after pressing "0".
What is the Pager ID (PIN)
number?
All of our alphanumeric pagers carry
the same toll free access number: 1-888-778-TEXT (1-888-778-8398). The PIN numbers
identify the pagers uniquely. In other words, the user has to enter the toll free access
number, then the PIN number (7 digits) when prompted.
As a recent enhancement to our service, the PIN numbers for the Numeric Pagers are
eliminated. Those can be dialed straight using separately assigned toll free numbers.
The same enhancement for the alphanumeric system is under development.
Are the pagers activated when I
receive them?
You always receive activated pagers.
You only need to update the coverage on them for your local region.
The steps:
1. Call our toll free automated system (no charge applies).
You receive a message: "This system uses area codes to determine or change coverage.
To determine if a specific location has coverage, press "1". To change the
coverage on your pager press "2".
2. You select option two, by pressing "2". You receive a message: "Please
enter your pager ID number".
3. You enter the PIN number displayed on the back of the pager. You receive a message:
"If you want to change your coverage to your current location, press "1" ,
if you want to change your coverage to a different location, press "2".
4. You press "1", then hang up. The system automatically detects your location
through the phone line, and updates the pager's coverage information.
